What are the Permit/Licensing requirements?

Effective January 1, 2010 the DMV requires that anyone applying for a Driver Learner’s Permit, who is between the ages of 15 1/2 and 17 1/2, must have completed a driver education (classroom) program.

Upon completion of our classroom education, we will issue the individual the Completion of Classroom Driver Education (OL237 form) certificate:

Your SIX hours of training will be given in three two hour blocks and we divide this up so that you maximize your training dollar. Specifically, each lesson goes over a different skill set so that you do need and must practice between lessons so that you are ready for the next skill set. We generally advise to take the first two lessons relatively close together, so your child is comfortable driving with you.

You should schedule your final two hour training session at least two weeks before your DMV road test. It is best NOT TO WAIT until just before your DMV test to have your final training session since their may been training issues that need to be addressed and of course our schedule fills very rapidly at times and you do not want to reschedule your DMV test.
