Yes. If you are 15 or older, the state of Oklahoma allows you to take one of three forms of driver education (also known as driver ed) to get your learner’s permit. Traditionally, students were required to take driver ed through a public school or commercial driving school. However, more students are electing to complete Parent-Taught Driver Education, which allows all classroom content to be completed online. Simply print out your receipt e-mail you receive after registering for the course and bring to the DPS when you go to apply for your first Oklahoma learner’s permit.
